    Latin WJEC Level 2
    sorry if this is in the wrong place but i have been put in for the WJEC level 2 latin exam in the summer and i was wondering if it was a equvilent of a GCSE or not .

    yeah, it's meant to be an 'equivalent', although what that means specifically, I'm not sure. hopefully they count it as if it's a GCSE... but who knows?

    I've chosen Latin for my GCSE and my school does the Level 2 certificate and it is an equivalent to a GCSE so basically it technically isn't one but is on the same level as it and it is worth 2 GCSE's( only this latin course). Most universities will accept this qualification but some will not but it still will count for something.

    I'm also doing level 2 latin language and latin literature with wjec at my school.
    My teacher wrote to Cambridge and they said they accept each one as an equivelant to a GCSE.
    All Russel Group universities accept it as an equivelant.

    hi everything went really funny at school so i sat the level 2 language in the summer and now i dont do latin Good luck with your exams
