The actual course is a little different to the qualified practice but its hard to actually give advice on so broad a topic. Is there anything specific you would like advice on? Do you have any specific questions??

    Hi thousandyard,

We did a whole module of physiology and anatomy in semester 1 of the first year of mental health nursing. We had an exam at the end of the module. If you have done A-level biology, the access to nursing course or a biology related degree then the content is probably easier to get to grips with. However it is taught at a level so that everyone can understand, and based on what we need to know as nurses.

In the second year we will be doing a whole module on pharmacology and neurobiology related to mental illness and medications.

    Not sure if this helps.

Feel free to ask anything else
