    Accomodation for olympics - long shifts!
    Hi,

    I am a forum virgin!

    Hope sombody is in the same boat as me. I have been offered a place to work at the Olympics and just received my shifts. Eeeek - very long!!

    Im struggling with accomodation -is anyone from south yorks and has a place and if so can you give me accomodation advice?

    North Yorks here.

    I'm working the paralympics, long shifts over a long period, planning on booking inot a campsite and taking a tent.

    O hi there,

    Im working 9 days which is not too many. I might be joinging you on a camp site if i cant find any where to stay ha :-)

    Got a while yet so im going to keep searching..

    There is no Official camping site, but a number have been very helpful such as http://campingatthegames.com/

    I've used this, and am now booked in at:

    For seventeen nights. Christ, I've never camped for that long. I think one of my spare days I'll have to nip back to Cambridge for a proper shower and sleep, ha!

    Also going to buy a nice big tent, just for me, and a good sized comfortable camp bed. None of these stupid inflatable things

    There is a spare room at the Emirates or White Hart Lane- their trophy rooms!

    If you are camping and need a tent the Gadget Show on 5 is reviewing hi-tech tents!
