IRON SKY - zero publicity and a great film!
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: IRON SKY - zero publicity and a great film!
I saw it on dvd last night. It's not all great but the good bits balance it out. Very cool effects and interesting ideas about politics, particularly President 'Sarah Palin' giving one of Geobbels' speeches and nobody realising. Considering how much mainstream trash there is out there I recommend it. Also has one of the best endings to a film I've seen.
P.S. It doesn't glorify Nazis, it makes fun of them. -
Re: IRON SKY - zero publicity and a great film! What's wrong with that? Would you rather go see a film about vampires or superheroes?(Original post by cleverslacker)
I get an ad for it on my facebook.
Haven't bothered to look into it because it's about nazis from space. -
Re: IRON SKY - zero publicity and a great film!
Avengers was enjoyable. That was the first superhero film I ever watched. I hope you're not implying I like Twilight?
Iron Sky might be really good for all I know, but their ad campaign had a negative effect on me, I'm actually more likely to look it up because of this thread. Nazis from space seems laughable as an idea. Seems like the sort of thing a nine-year-old came up with. -

Just mentioning the films that are in cinemas now are no more laughable than Moon Nazis
It is the point though. it's funny.
I liked Avengers too
