MSc Psychology - any current/former/undergraduate students?
    Hello everyone.

I was recently made an offer for the MSc Psychology course at Nottingham Trent, however I have no idea what the department there is like as I'm currently living in Holland and can't get out to an open day.

So, I was wondering if anyone who has studied or is studying the undergraduate/masters could give me a bit of information on how the department is, what the course is like, what they've gone on to do now etc.?

The department seems big and also seems to publish research at a fairly good pace, likewise the investment in the facilities seems like a plus. It's just incredibly hard to know whether to accept a place at a uni unless you've been there to get a feel for the place! Talking to those who have is the next best thing I guess, so any info at all would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Richard

Hello, I'm about to go into my 3rd year undergrad - and could give a good shot at answering any questions about the division!

I personally love the course/psychology division at NTU - and it has far exceeded my expectations. The staff are really supportive, and are so eager to help you develop in whichever areas you wish. For example this summer I am conducting some research with two lecturers from the department, which is a fantastic opportunity! Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming with the amount of staff in the psychology department but this is also a bonus as there are so many different expertise!

The department recently had a visit from the BPS in regards to course accreditation, and that went very well and the department received many commendation, a lot which focused on the support which staff gave to students.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!
