I'm new to this myself, and I noticed the thread about "No fap August" from cpdavis (http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?p=33119303&highlight=no%20fap) and figured this would make for a nice expansion.
I'm already onto day 4 and I'm not gonna lie, its pretty hard. (No pun(is) intended)

I thought I'd re-share the information, see how many people are interested in this theory and figured this is a place where people could share their stories and endeavors (annonymously if you so wish, but use a pseudonym at the start of each post so everyone can tell who is who.)

Any way, all information is available below!

Welcome to Version 2 of **NO FAP Thread to end ALL No Fap threads**. Thread one which was created by Preparation changed a lot of lives, got featured on Psychology Today (http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/...orn-experiment), and through 8000+ posts allowed us to gain tons of new knowledge and spread it to others. Quick summary of the most frequently addressed points
- No fap has more to do with the dopamine rather than "test boosting". There is no strong evidence of long term no fap having a effect on testosterone. Rather the main benefit of no fap is you preventing our brain from getting a dose of dopamine everytime you fap. This increases the levels of another hormone that motivates you to actually do stuff, while fapping makes you want to do less after the dopamine spike. In general many no fappers generally feel more euphoric and happy since the dopamine receptors are not dulled out, and more motivated since their bodies crave the dopamine more, and seek it out through other means (real girls, friends, working out, accomplishing things) in short NO FAP = MOTIVATION TO IMPROVE LIFE

- DO NOT EDGE OR WATCH PORN. Not only will you fail but you are still stimulating your brain
- Sex is fine
- It is not a linear process, you will not be 5 times hornier on day 15 than you are on day 3. Most generally get really horny around day three, and it stays that way up to around day 12-20. Many experience mood swings, get emotial etc, and also a flat line stage afterwards (not horny at all)
- Channel your energy into productive things, dont dwell upon being sexually frustrated, use the frustration energy instead to do producing things to better yourself and feel better. BECOME THE PERSON YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE.

I started a few days ago, couple of days before a friend of mine linked me that thread. I'm on day 5 at the moment, its not too bad for the time being. But I'm in a bit of a slump at the moment, so I don't feel too horny and don't paticularly see the point in kocking one out :/ Its not like I win any grand prize or any thing.

around day 2 and 3 were my hardest. (O.o) kept getting soo tempted, but I managed to prevail, with great difficulty I might add.

Seeing as some other people seem interested and are joining, I'll keep checking back and update my progress.

haha, fair enough. Just will power... I guess some guys love their own penis so much they can't bear the idea of not touching it for a even a day!

I'm on day 6 so far, and I hit a bit of a wall earlier, it was tough to resists from taking a private few minutes, but I managed....

After watched the video again, properly this time, (I didn't pay much attention last time) I realised, I have some issues that have slowly been creeping on my, such as severe procrastination and frequently feeling depressed. In all honesty, I got to day 3 of NF purey by accident, but after watching the video properly, have fuelled the desire to keep going.

In all honesty, I never really used internet porn, not a great deal any way, once or twice every now and then. Either way, I'm interested to find out how NF affects my mental process's.

Although, after watching the video again... I have realised how badly I actually want to have sex.... (still a V :/) and that doesn't really help the whole NF situation :tongue:

fair enough, thats your opinion.... But I ask you this... how does NOT having a 5-Knuckle-Shuffle every day become something thats not productive??

Are you actually trying to tell me that knocking one out is a produtive activity? That it gets your further in life? Does it help you with your job? Does it help you with study? Does it provide you with some profound knowledge?

No.... its does absoloutely **** all except make you feel good for a while and waste some time.... if thats your idea of productivity.... you feel free to keep wasting time with fruitless acts of self love!

That sucks dude. I dont know how I managed to get to day 8 with out a hitch :/

But it's here. Working an 11 hour shift yesterday and a 10 hour today helps I guess. And the fact that I'm in a bit of an emotional rut at the minute ( / my whole life lol)

I think the next weeks gonna be a hard one.

haha! indeed it does... but I didn't break like that... just my resolve lol

strong into day 2 so far, no hitches just yet, Getting back into my gym routine helps, I've been out of it for so long... Little gutted that my gym doesn't open till 2pm today though, that blows...

Figured id update y'all.

Ive realised this is alot harder than I originally anticipated, I've given in a couple times unfortunately, back on day 3 now though.

It was easier last time as I was in a bad mood for a week or so, and just couldn't be bothered with anything, with new resolve I'll battle through!
