    Creative Music Tech
Hi guys, I'm currently waiting to hear back from Surrey to find out whether I can transfer into the 2nd year of the CMT degree from my current course. Can someone give me an insight into what the course is like and what you've covered in the first year? Also what is the main DAW that you're taught on?

    Cheers!

I lived with a guy in second year that did CMT, and 2 that did Tonmeister..... I can't really say much about either course though I'm afraid as I don't understand music aha!

You might have a bit more luck asking in the Surrey Q&A thread? I think someone posted about CMT a week or two ago but noone replied so I'm not sure if any TSR Surrey people do CMT!

Haha no problem, if I actually spoke to the guy I lived with last year, I'd ask him for you but... yeah after not saying a word to him for about a year I think it'd be strange to strike up a conversation with "So CMT. Tell me about it"

Well the definition of boring can change depending on everyone's standards and expectations. If you're after a heavy party town full of clubs, you're heading to the wrong place. If you prefer the bar scene, live music, alternative music or would like to stick to the SU then come on in

That's ok... Not interested in dance clubs as such. I like my live music tho- so long as debenhams isn't the most exciting thing on offer that's fine :colone:
