Undergraduate Research
Hi, I am (although it might be a little too early to have such plans) interested in pursuing a career in research and academics. I have been told that the chances of getting into a phd program are better if you have already conducted research as an undergrad. how does that work? I heard of summer programs. can I also work as a research assistant as an undergrad? and if i can, how time consuming is it? you need good marks to get into a phd program too, so it wouldnt make sense to conduct undergrad research if ones marks suffered from it.
thank you for any advice
