Why do people buy leather sofa?
I would like to pose a question.

Why do people buy these horrid things?

In the winter they're cold and uncomfortable.

In the summer they stick to you and it feels disgusting.

Leather is tough and it doesn't absorb much moisture.

Easier to wipe stuff off them if you spill stuff/food.

Well . . . they do look nice but they are not nearly as comfortable as other sofas in the winter.
I lay a big old blanket over ours when it gets cold.

As for the summer, we have air conditioning.

Have them in my family home - parents preferred it because it's easier to clean. I never sit on it directly though, I place a softer cushion on it first.

Providing they're not the cheap and cheerless hideous CSL and SCS efforts, they're not too bad. I'm not a massive fan though.

They aren't that cold once you've sat down for a couple of moments and they aren't that hot in summer compared to any other sofa either.

I had a leather sofa that I got on the cheap in my old flat - they were comfy as and you look pretty nifty into the bargain too.

I agree. PLus, as others have mentioned, its easier to clean and looks attractive IMO. They're also quite durable if you get real leather.

Fake leather is nasty, sweaty stuff.

But real leather looks, feels and smells nice. After all, a cow has lived in that stuff, so it's gotta be good.

If there is kids around with food/drink, having a leather sofa is super useful. And because they get sticky in hot weather we put a throw over it and problem is solved

Oh, and as theyre cold in the winter, i wrap the throw around myself!
