    is this my period again?
My periods have never been regular. They started when I was 11 and I'm 18 now but I've always ignored it because I get 12 a year. My last period was on the 17 th May and was lighter than normal and didn't last as long as normal. I put this down to the fact the I was stressed, ill and tired. I am still stressed and tired and my period has started again (the blood is definitely coming from there!) except, that's only a gap if two weeks! It's light again but (sorry about this) there's a lot of clots and it's a lot darker in colour. I obviously can't go to the docs with the bank holiday and everything and my mum says it's probably just because I was stressed last time and still am so it will have messed up my hormones. I haven't ever had sex, I don't use tampons and I haven't injured myself around there. I've been a bit moody like I always am on a period and I've had no other symptoms.

Am I worrying over nothing? Help!

"I don't use tampons" - no wonder there's so much blood

You're fine. It's normal to have some slight variation in flow. You'll probably return back to normal soon but if you don't go see a doctor.

It's entirely possible it's just come quickly because of the stress you've been under. Unless you get a lot of pain, id just wait and see what happens with your next period.

Apparently sometimes you can get it more than once a month, but its only your body trying to get into a regular pattern apparently so i wouldnt worry

I think every girl has at some point had her hormones go crazy over stress or illness or something. It's no doubt the stress and sickness playing a part - when your body is too weak to conceive a baby, your hormones try and 'protect' you from pregnancy and so this could be it. If you're really worried then wait until you can go to the doctors just to put your mind at rest but this sound totally normal of a girl your age in your circumstances. Feel better and don't worry XXX
