Re: Leicester University!
I applied and choose John Foster as a priority then GMS and Beaumount ! Going self Catered though, I think the student village looks lovely! That's where I thought it would be best to stay the first year, hopefully it will be!!
Do you know what the city itself is like? Only briefly been through it, mainly stayed within the uni at the open day! -

Because I live just outside Leicester, I can testify that it's a very good place to study, and the uni is brilliant. The shopping and nightlife are very good, and everyone is friendly (you'll find that we're a very diverse and tolerant city!) So if you have any more questions about the city, feel free to ask!Last edited by wikiellie; 30-03-2012 at 09:24. -

Very tolerant. -
Re: Leicester University! The actions of a few are hardly representative of the city as a whole, which is probably the only one of a few similar places which didn't have race riots in the late 90's/early 2000s (Manningham riots, Oldham, Bradford, Lazells) which would suggest broadly it is more tolerant.
