Re: Annoyed bf reads FHM?
If my girlfriend said to me "stop reading FHM you're like a pervert", I'd say "OK then, stop reading OK! Magazine it makes you bitchy".
There's nothing wrong with reading, and/or looking at what you like, men don't get annoyed when there's some topless hunk in one of your magazines because they couldn't care less so you should give him the same courtesy, it doesn't mean he doesn't want you or anything like that so don't be paranoid and let the man enjoy his mild erotic entertainment. -
Re: Annoyed bf reads FHM?
In all honesty, FHM isn't quite the lowest common denominator pornography that some other similar magazines contain. It tries to have a lot in there about the holistic life of a man, not just 'titties'. I mean, if he wanted the porn, he'd probably just watch it on the internet. Even a Google image search has got to be infinitely more interesting.
As such, and given that you know he reads it, he just wants the more general articles about 'man-stuff', but is not unopposed to the titillation of a model once in a while.
So, I think you need to accept that he's not doing it because he wants the erotic thrill; I think that's just a casual perk of a more general magazine. If it bothers you, talk to him and explain why you feel the way you do. If you want to approach it tactfully, maybe just ask him in an off-handed fashion whether there was anything interesting in it, or even look through it yourself and see what is has to offer before you judge him. -

It is so 1990s lad culture. Yes you should be upset he is still reading it.
Seriously, is he moaning when you read Heat/OK!, looking at all of the topless hunks?

Re: Annoyed bf reads FHM?Too true. Nothing that is in FHM, Nuts or Zoo that isn't in Heat, Ok!, Hello, or other junk reading like that. Both sexes get their nipples out!(Original post by Alpharius)

Question OP, just be glad he's reading magazines with women in it.. -
Re: Annoyed bf reads FHM?
On the basis of nudity, I think it's an overreaction to tell him. All men go online for some porn now and then anyway.
On the basis of low quality content, perhaps. But he's into what he's into.
I've dated men who read GQ and I've picked it up a couple of times myself, and it does have some interesting stuff. And seemingly a lot more attractive women than FHM! (Although not as undressed, but if he wants to see vagina he shouldn't get magazines with articles altogether) -
Re: Annoyed bf reads FHM?
As a regular reader of the magazine, there isn't as much 'female' content as one thinks prior to reading their first issue. There's regularly items on fashion, sports, cars, films and music. FHM also surprisingly has a large portion of female readers too, so it's not bad at all.

You shouldn't be annoyed at all. One of my boyfriend's friends had an issue of FHM in the common room the other day and we all sat around reading it together. My boyfriend doesn't moan at me when I read Cosmo, if I buy it at school he'll often read it as well if anything that interests him is in there.
