I tried, my icon won't work for some reason, so it keeps being declined.

Can you link here to the image that you're trying to use?

I downloaded it to my computer, then copy pasted it into the box, here I'll try.

After you create a social group and have it approved, how do you associate threads with it?

Go to the relevant thread and click on "thread tools" at the top. Then select "add thread to a group".
