changing exam board- how will it affect my application?
    Hello

I am a CIE AS History student and have just finished my exam. I do not like the course as CIE does not provide the students with a textbook but gives a list of recommended books instead, making the content overbearing and the questions narrow.

I would like to change my exam board to Edexcel next year and my teachers told me that I will have to do the entire course AS+A2 as opposed to just A2. I am ready to do that but I am concerned about how universities will look at this decision. My teacher recommended not to state in the UCAS section the AS grade from CIE so it will look as if I am doing just an entire course in one year.

Will this disadvantage my application?

I'd recommend e-mailing the admissions tutor of a college that you're interested in.

You have to state all of the grades you've certificated on your UCAS application, and you have to state all of your module scores on the Cambridge SAQ anyway, so your teacher is a bit silly (and advising you to do something against the rules, unless you don't cash in your CIE AS).
