If a current UCL student can answer this, I would be very grateful.

Does the exam system work like that in A-levels, where exams are sit in January then June, or are all exams sat in June.

Depends on the course you're doing. In all likelihood you'll be continually assessed throughout the year but, for example, I study medicine and all our exams for the year took place in one week in May (hence the recommendation for not resitting A levels). On the other hand, I know people in other courses who didn't have a single exam in May, with all their coursework out of the way even before the Easter break. Most departments' websites will have some information about how they're assessed and may even tell you exam dates.
