you can, not everyone follows fashion to a T. in fact I think you'll find not many people do, it's about fashion as a wide platform and from that you use your taste to pick what you like.

The shoe style would go nicely but because the shorts are beige-ee colored and the shoes have bright white on them it may look a little odd... but don't worry too much about it
