I thought question 01 was horrible, because I knew that the paper was synoptic but I had no idea there'd be so much gender stuff in there. I felt kind of cheated because I knew I could've done so much better in that one if I'd revised gender as well as language acquisition.

Question 04, on the other hand... GOD SEND. Loved it!

I thought it was the other way round. Question 01 was ok but the second section was harder! I did question 04, hate language change so much...What did all you write about if you did question 04 for language change?

Graphology with headings, paragraphs and stuff in the more recent one and archaic words or something just couldn't find anything in the first question so I just write a bit with no examples or anything...

I really don't understand the descriptivist and prescriptivist attitudes to language change and how you find examples that fit with the attitudes if you get me? Did anyone include this in question 04?

For question 1 I think I got a fair few theories in. I included Nativism, Cognitivism and behaviourism - Then loads of different people's stages. I think I got Jean Aitchison's, Bellugi's, Brown's, Halliday's and Dore's in there! Not much for language change though.

I think i put Halliday's in and a few more, even though its been less then a week i've forgot what i put already. I remember i put Sharron Goodman in the Change part but that's about it.
