    A2 Government&Politics
I finished AS level politics (edexcel). I found it relatively easy, and i hope i will achieve a high A. Im undoubtedly taking it further to A2 level. Our college uses 3B (4B) syllabus, which is political ideologies. Those of you who are doing or have done A2 Politics 3B edexcel, how hard did you find it ? What textbooks did you use ? I just started reading Andrew Heywood's Introduction to political ideologies and i do not find it easy at all.

This is the route that I take. Political ideologies is fairly interesting as long as you do wider reading. It's not too difficult but you MUST build up an extensive bank of political commentators as you go along! That's the hardest part.

Textbook wise, the Heywood book is the only one I've used. As an undergraduate text it's pretty comprehensive and i found all the tension diagrams really helpful. What is it that you find challenging about it? I've supplemented it with the plentiful articles our teacher hands out in class and have found this to be enough reading!

    hope that helps a little..

    Thanks for your reply.

Is there also any official textbook that is highly recommended to read for Unit 3 Political ideologies ? Or are they useless to read as long as i stick to Heywood ?
