Re: Edexcel C4 integration
With all due respesct you have had x months to learn it yet want someone to tell you within 50 minutes of you first asking.
You can do some by inspection, ie reversing the chain rule
You can do some by parts, which often you are told to do, which will be where you have a product
You may get f'(x)/f(x) which will give you ln|f(x)|
Some trig intergals will just be done by standard results
Some you can just expand and integrate as a sum (as you would have done in C1/C2)
Its about taking time to learn and spot them. -
Re: Edexcel C4 integrationWith all due respect ? I know integration well, I think you havn't read my post properly. I am asking, if there is an easier way to notice what method to use, because some times i end up trying a method that doesnt work for a particular case and then i have to get it on my second attempt with another method. Like substitution and by parts, theyre used in two similar cases. I'm simply asking if anyone has any tips in spotting which method to use. No need to troll on this thread.(Original post by kozo)

Re: Edexcel C4 integrationCool story bro.(Original post by kozo)
Ok, I shall sit back and happily read a post that can condense all the integrals for polynomial and transcendental functions in an all encompassing sweep.
