    New GTR
After much deliberating, I finally put a deposit on the new car.

It's got the Bose trimmings, and like clarkson says, corners faster than electricity with the 20inch semi slicks. Never driven anything like it, the flappy paddles are very responsive and the whole thing is a technical work of art! Can't wait to pick up

Why are you posting about being able to afford a £70k + car on a student forum?

    Congrats on the new car

    Is it a V-Spec model??

I must say I'm envious Alas I've no space for a fun car and I live in a country with lots of very conservative people who won't take too kindly seeing their investment banker driving such a car.

Better check that everything about that gearbox is in perfect condition, well known to fail on the earlier models.

Not a fan of flappy paddle gearboxes. Other than that, a nice looking car. How much will you be spending in total for the purchase of the car?

The point was if you're paying a grand a month you're getting shafted on finance! What rate are they doing that at?

Still congrats man, I live in a country where aesthetics are more important than performance in terms of supercars so while you'll see loads of 911s, R8s and 458s there are very very few GTRs even tho it smokes all of them but but twin turbo 911.

Don't use launch control much it is known to be very faulty on the earlier models.

Are you old money or a banker?

Ah wait you're aussie aren't you? Might as well work the oil fields loads of ways to get rich there .

Oh lol 7ish. It's more due to the Fact that cars are prohibitively more expensive here. Something like a tvr cerberra will set you back about 40k plus in pounds. Due to luxury car tax the gtr is $130k it's just such a different market.

Lol not an aussie but moved here.. work in construction an am starting up in my own business.. Yep the early launch control isn't the problem in itself but the way it rips apart gearboxes certainly is!!

Are you planning on taking it to any circuits? You know Autocar tested this car and said it developed the most G in the corners out of any road car. The GTR would be awesome at a track day.

I'm a bit dubious to do it but nissan here put on a track day purely for their gtr buyers where you just have to pay for insurance, so I'm definitely going to be doing it.. People who say its not a "drivers car" haven't driven one anywhere near the limit, the nearest anyone got to the professional instructor's time last year was about 15 seconds off!
