New GTR
After much deliberating, I finally put a deposit on the new car.
It's got the Bose trimmings, and like clarkson says, corners faster than electricity with the 20inch semi slicks. Never driven anything like it, the flappy paddles are very responsive and the whole thing is a technical work of art! Can't wait to pick up

Re: New GTRI'm still a student part time and it's a motoring sub forum.. Some might be interested(Original post by Silver Arrow)
Why are you posting about being able to afford a £70k + car on a student forum?
plus it's not 70k it's used

Re: New GTRLol Cheers. yeah it is but I can't afford a Ferrari or Lambo! Half financed probably about a grand a month ish? It's used an 09 model(Original post by facdroit)
Poverty supercar.
Congrats tho brah.
How much will it cost you per month? -
Re: New GTRCpuldnt see the point of a barebones 11, just didnt do much for me..(Original post by JC.)
A bobby basic 911 is around 900 a month with bugger all deposit? -
Re: New GTRCongrats on the new car(Original post by omarion526)
I'm still a student part time and it's a motoring sub forum.. Some might be interested

Is it a V-Spec model??
I must say I'm envious
Alas I've no space for a fun car and I live in a country with lots of very conservative people who won't take too kindly seeing their investment banker driving such a car.
Better check that everything about that gearbox is in perfect condition, well known to fail on the earlier models. -
Re: New GTRThe reason I like my cars silver(Original post by NOBODY MOVE!)
good luck keeping that black car looking clean ;_;

Re: New GTRThe point was if you're paying a grand a month you're getting shafted on finance! What rate are they doing that at?(Original post by omarion526)
Cpuldnt see the point of a barebones 11, just didnt do much for me.. -

Lol Cheers. yeah it is but I can't afford a Ferrari or Lambo! Half financed probably about a grand a month ish? It's used an 09 modelStill congrats man, I live in a country where aesthetics are more important than performance in terms of supercars so while you'll see loads of 911s, R8s and 458s there are very very few GTRs even tho it smokes all of them but but twin turbo 911.(Original post by omarion526)

Don't use launch control much it is known to be very faulty on the earlier models.
Are you old money or a banker?
Ah wait you're aussie aren't you? Might as well work the oil fields loads of ways to get rich there
.

Re: New GTROh lol 7ish. It's more due to the Fact that cars are prohibitively more expensive here. Something like a tvr cerberra will set you back about 40k plus in pounds. Due to luxury car tax the gtr is $130k(Original post by JC.)
The point was if you're paying a grand a month you're getting shafted on finance! What rate are they doing that at?
it's just such a different market.
tell me about it.. I love black cars but they don't stay good for long!
Lol not an aussie but moved here.. work in construction an am starting up in my own business.. Yep the early launch control isn't the problem in itself but the way it rips apart gearboxes certainly is!!(Original post by facdroit)

Re: New GTRAre you planning on taking it to any circuits? You know Autocar tested this car and said it developed the most G in the corners out of any road car. The GTR would be awesome at a track day.(Original post by omarion526)

Re: New GTRI'm a bit dubious to do it but nissan here put on a track day purely for their gtr buyers where you just have to pay for insurance, so I'm definitely going to be doing it.. People who say its not a "drivers car" haven't driven one anywhere near the limit, the nearest anyone got to the professional instructor's time last year was about 15 seconds off!(Original post by harreeeee)
