I find Chemical Brothers are good for motivational/essay writing, especially 'Hey Boy Hey Girl' on repeat ahaha.

But in general Muse's old stuff, The Wombats and Elbow

Ahah great choice there, although I'd find I'd want to dance to that

I saw The Wombats at Brixton a few months back I'll go with Elbow, thank you!

I find that the Pink Floyd album 'Obscured By Clouds' is really helpful, it's not well known at all but there's not really any lyrics and the music's really relaxing!

Any classical/symphonic music. You're highly unlikely to get distracted by it.

I found that the beat of it made me keep going
I saw The Wombats at Liverpool's Olympic evening celebrations about two weeks ago! They were sooooo good!
Elbow are good at relaxing and keeping mellow, at Leeds I thought I was high ahaha (I wasn't, don't worry)
