York St John PGCE - 2012
Hey everyone!
Found out a couple of weeks ago that I've been accepted to York St John for the secondary RE PGCE! Woohoo!
I'm keen to find out what other York St John PGCE-ers will be doing about accommodation. I'm from Northern Ireland and would love to go into halls but as the PGCE is mostly spent working in schools, I'm not entirely sure that would be the best idea in the world with all the freshers partying and what not! Do any other PGCE students know where they will be living come September?
Thanks for your help!

Re: York St John PGCE - 2012Your best bet would be to get some private accommodation arranged with some other students looking for housing. Post adverts on TES and try the Education forum here. Other than that, look on sites such as gumtree ect or see if any letting agents are renting out just one room in a house.

Hey Watermelon, I'm in the same situation too.. I've been accepted onto the Primary PGCE at York SJ so I'm looking for accommodation at the moment! I've been told that it's not a good idea to go into halls with freshers with the amount of work load and early mornings we'll have to contend with!
I'm interested in finding accommodation with other PGGE students, as we will all my in the same boat!
Just looking into this at the moment but not really sure where to start!
