Where can I go to learn the OCR RS AS level in Birmingham?
So here's the situation.
I've completed the Philosophy of Religion unit (G571) and achieved an A when I sat it in January 2011. Shortly after sitting the January modules for that year, I was admitted (sectioned) into a psychiatric hospital attributed to my ill mental health.
Unfortunately, the grammar school sixth form I was at, no longer wanted me back after 6 weeks had passed, claiming that I wouldn't be able to cope if I were to come back.
My eventual discharge came about at the end of November 2011. I had managed to secure a place at a comprehensive sixth form during the last week of the 2011 academic year and started in mid November. Since then, i've had the odd few hiccups and have missed a fair amount of the year due to my health.
However, I hope to finish my RS AS level, by completing the Religious Ethics unit (G572) in the coming January 2012 sitting. Once that's done i'll transfer the qualification to the AQA A2 RS A level because it's the exam board that my current sixth follow for RS.
My question is, does anyone know of anywhere I can perhaps attend: evening or part time classes, for some additional support? I've done some research and most do not offer the A level with the OCR exam board. It's a frustrating predicament, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
QUICK GLANCE: TL;DR
- Completed half of my OCR AS level RS and achieved an A (85ums) last year in Jan
- Then was admitted into a psychiatric hospital and stayed for 10 months
- Now want to finish the other half, then transfer to the AQA A2 level as that's the exam board my current school follows
- So, ultimately, need advice and direction as to where I can get help such as, evening classes, for the course.
