Re: HELP!!! I have my english lit exam on tuesday and thursday and I'm completely stu
Hey
I have an exam on tuesday but im doing AQA. Im doing mice and men though
Go to http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/micemen its really good, go through all the characters and themes
Also, go to your exam board's website to get past papers - have a look at the questions, have a go at doing and then look at what the mark scheme says, im sure you will pick up ideas and tips
Have you done anything in school? Go through your notes, and i dont know what you've been told about how to structure your answers, but look through your school stuff, im sure you'll find something
Also, look on BBC Bitesize at the mice and man section
Sorry i cant help you with the other stuff!
Hope that helps
Good luck with your exams

Re: HELP!!! I have my english lit exam on tuesday and thursday and I'm completely stu
Hi there,
For Of Mice and Men, A view from the Bridge, and A Christmas carol, you will have 1 hour to answer an extract question and an essay question.
The format for the exams will be as follows:
Unit 1 - 1 hour - Of Mice and Men, 30 mins - Poetry
Unit 2 - 1 Hour - A view from the Bridge, 1 hour - A Christmas carol
The extract question will be 10 marks and you should spend 20 mins.
The essay question will be 20 marks, and you should spend 40 mins. You will get a choice of two questions for the essay.
For the poetry you will get two poems which you must compare and contrast. Make sure you comment on content, tone, structure, and language.
For the extract question, it is important that you track the extract fully, so make sure you use the first line and the last line of the extract. Make about 8 points, fully explained.
For the essay, you do not get a copy of the text, so it is vital that you remember plenty of quotes to use in the exam. Also, remember to mention the whole of the text, including the start and the end.
Hope this helps with the format of the exam!
I also have Unit 2 on Thursday and took Unit 1 last year. -
