As an ex-smoker is it normal to get chest pains from passive smoking?
I quit smoking 4 years ago this August (I smoked solidly for 2 years and on and off for about 7 from the age of 11) Since I quit I'm rarely around people that smoke to be honest. Anyway, I was in the pub the other day and went outside with a friend who smoked around loads of people smoking and at that time my lungs started to hurt and ever since then have been hurting on and off. It's like small sharp pains all over and I remember that this is exactly one of the reasons I quit smoking in the first place because it actually started to hurt my lungs.
Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Have I done some irreparable damage? As I heard once you quit you pretty much repair your lungs etc
I used to smoke normally 10-15 a day but on Friday and Saturday nights it could have been up to about 30-40.

Thanks
