This is what the Occupy movement has come to

A fat dude tripping in a tent in the middle of a deserted park, and a bum masturbating on a park bench. It seems vaguely metaphorical; at least the bum washed his hands after masturbating, most socialists wouldn't even extend that courtesy

Oh look, it is another socialist bashing threat.

Call the care-police.
Maybe they all went to claim their hand outs and foodstamps?

bunch of losers
To this day no one has any clue what they want. I think they want someone else to go to work and give them money. Very sad

And to this day, righties are still saying this, and so to this day, have still missed the point.

Because they have no point
I agree with their opposition to banker bailouts but I know that protesting is the worst way of putting your point across in the world. Nobody cares about protesters they just ignore them. If you want change you have two options the democratic process or revolution.

This is typical of the attacks on the occupy movement; people who can't grasp the concept revert to attack the man not the argument. "Oh look at this guy he can't possibly contribute to society therefore his argument is false and all others who support the cause are also wrong."

I believe you have just proven his statement.

Very simple message. Take wall street out of politics. Stop pandering to the billionaire hedge fund managers with massive bailouts and start spending money on the people who desperately need it in America.

Then do what the tea party did
Organize, raise money, and back candidates that believe in what you believe and work tirelessly to get those people elected. That's what the tea party did and now congress is full of tea party backed politicians and they are pushing for the reforms the tea party wanted

If you are just going to sit around on your fat ass, urinating and defecating on the ground to the point where the area has to be cleared because it's a biohazard, people are just going to mock you and ignore you.

They should use the democratic process or STFU

They'v had plenty of points. Thousands of different ones from thousands of different people. What I think you mean is 'They don't have one single set of demands issued by a centralised, hierarchical authority.'

In other words, play by the rules of the politicians and business that are already rigged for them to win. The Tea Party politicians are largely just business pawns like all the others.

Now, I'm not saying hoping to bring change through the electoral system is hopeless, it's not, but it needs a lot more significant change than just electing a few guys who you hope will be better than the current idiots.

Last I checked the right to publicly voice your discontent at the government in a pretty major part of the democratic process.

Ah yes I like your glorifying of the tea party. Except that organization has been and always will be the extreme right of the Republican party, nothing more. The irony is of course by pandering to this wing of the party they've alienated all moderate Republicans and independents thereby guaranteeing a loss till they start playing the bi-partisan game instead of blinding filibustering, cause you know "MUSLUM, SOCIALISM".

If their formula is a recipe for disaster then why were the 2010 elections so successful against establishment republicans and democrats? The tea party got a lot of their people in. Sure there were some mistakes like getting a RINO elected in Alaska and the mess in Delaware, but overall they seem to be winning elections and changing policy
Occupy had so much potential and they've just frittered it away getting high, playing the drums and having sex in tents.

If you list occupy's actual accomplishments, the grand total comes to zero. They haven't accomplished a damn thing except litter public places with urine and feces. Using the democratic process would have been far more effective.

The only point the occupt movement gets right is that private interests > government - government does bad stuff.

That's it, I mean I could sit here and write an essay on that 20 demands thing they managed to string together, the violence, the babbling "ITS TEH CORPIRASHUNS MAAAAAAAN" every 4 seconds, but I just can't be bothered.

Wait, what? Is that the right attitude?
