Parking Motorbike at Lancaster Uni?
I'm hopefully joining Lancaster in October (depending on my grades), wondering if I can park my motorbike on the campus whilst I'm living in halls? I know you can't for cars, so this is a bit of a long shot, but obviously it takes up much less space wondering if people do. Thanks.

Re: Parking Motorbike at Lancaster Uni?I was a student at Lancaster and had my motorbike up there. I did 18 months of my course and left in January of this year, so I doubt their policy has changed since I left.(Original post by MadMike457)

What I was told to stick to was quite simple:
1) Do not park it in a car parking space.
2) Do not block any footpaths, emergency exits, doors, etc...
That was pretty much it. As long as it isn't causing an inconvenience to anybody then you can park it pretty much anywhere.
Which college are you going to be in? I might be able to point out the easiest places to park on a map of the Uni. -
Re: Parking Motorbike at Lancaster Uni?You're two choices are either buy a parking permit for campus, although they are very expensive and very limited, and they are pretty much only available to staff, med students, and students who have a very good reason for needing a car, or you can park it in town although there isn't much parking in town and almost all of what is there requires a parking ticket and so would be very, very expensive long term.(Original post by jordan645)
I'm starting in October and was planning to take my car, didn't realise you couldn't park on campus.
Do you know where you are advised to leave your car?
So, unless you 100% need your car at University then you should leave it at home. -

Thanks for asking this question! I'm taking mine up to Lancaster too in October. A nice little GPZ 500 - what do you all have?
