A2 AQA Physics exam June 2012
    Hi
This is a message for anyone who took the A2 physics A exam on Monday 11th June 2012. I'd like to know what you thought of the paper?, both section A and B.

My school are currently complaining about the paper (espeically sectionB) as all of my class found it very unbalanced in the topics (mainly concentrating on gravitational fields) and not on other topics that had been taught in unit 4, unrelevent calculations (photon energy!) and basically feel abit cheated after taking so much time covering all the stuff on faraday, lenz, transformers, genera tors etc..

I dont understand why aqa cant make a more balanced paper espeically when so much rides on the final A2 exams!

I found the paper very stupid!.. but then again it always is.. and once again the grade boundaries will be incredibly low ... yeah your right there was very little on magnetic fields and stuff which was annoying because i was a beast at that :P .. i think it went really well tbh but everyone else in my class thought it was a tough paper, even the 2 guys on 410 ums (got 290 in as, and 120 on unit 5 in jan, so they know there stuff...) i answered everything and understood 95% of it just with the picky mark scheme and me being unsure on some questions, throw in the probable 54/100 for an A and I've no idea about what i got tho ... my school hate the course and changed to physics A this year for the Lower 6th .... lucky sons of bitches....

It wasn't too bed actually. the first question was a total balls up but other than that it was fine. i think the grounds about complaining wont be terribly valid because you are expected to know it, to be fair, but i do see what you mean.. the 6 marker was amazingly easy though..

That was 6 marks in all, you could get one mark in the second part for using the show that, the third part (worth 3 marks, you could pick up a mark by attempting it, it was a bitch but probably not enough to get the paper reviewed...

Re: A2 AQA Physics exam June 2012
I did the AQA PHYSICS B Unit 5:in Context course ....
Im not sure... we were taught poorly, so everyone else reckoned they'd failed(except me i was going for an A* predicted an A i think I've got it, but maybe a B-A on this paper).. and i basically ended up only seeing most of the material yesterday .. so considering i think it went really well... i thought it was a relatively easy paper, although I'm not sure about most of the maths questions, and i was gutted about the total lack of accelerators, and the heat engines stuff that came up i wasn't keen on but found it ok... the last question on fusion was nice tho... did you do it? how'd you find it?
