Basically, I'm wondering why it is that the term 'actress' is being replaced by the word 'female actor'.
I know a fair few people who make a thing out of this and I was wondering why that is.

Is it sexist/derogatory to use the word 'Actress'?

Who the hell knows, somebody probably said its offensive and sued somebody for using it.

We cant even sing baa baa black sheep anymore because apparently its racist, this doesn't surprise me too much.

Yeah but how is it offensive?
II can just-about see how baabaa black sheep could be seen as offensive, but actress is just the female form of actor.

That's what I mean, I have no idea how its offensive, just somebody probably thinks it is so rather than upsetting the minority who might make a big fuss about it, they instead change the title slightly.

Thhat was just one small primary school who made that rule and it was blown way out of proportion by the newpapers.
