Im doing the OCR modern world history specification B. I didn't have time to do e last question which was worth 12 marks! is it possible for me to still ge an A* overall?
paper 1: 86/90
Coursework: 49/50
I'm really upset about it my teacher said that. Needed a mid B to ge an A* overall I had worked really hard in year 10 and this was meant to be my 'easy' grade, I am so upset with myself I just kept waffling on. Please help.

Is the paper out of 90.

Judging by your extremely high marks in the others, there is still a high possibility that you'll get your A*

To answer your question, yes it is still possible.

Odds are that you can't....12 marks is a lot to miss out on! However with those high marks an A is still possible.

My friend. You can actually still achieve an A* on the paper.


Are you doing the British Depth study (1890-1918)? Last year it was 36/50 for an A*, and the year before 39/50 for an A*. Judging my this years, it'll be 37 - 38 out of 50.

Don't you need 90% in every A2 module for an A*? In which case you'd need 90 not a mid B? Unless it's just 90 overall in which case ignore me haha

WOW! Those are stunning results. Dont worry cause I think it still possible but even so just stay calm and get on with your other exams. You have done it - its over. Your other results are very good!

You'll get that A* it should be about 35/50 for A* on the paper, so as long as you a answered all of the other questions (which you must have done very well given that you ran out of time) then you should get it

If it helps, I did that exact paper having got 42/50 in my coursework (which was an A but I obviously didn't find that out until the results had been published), and paper 1 was quite good. Paper 2 (which I'm presuming you just did) was awful for me and I wrote about 4 lines for the 12 marker, with everything else having gone horrifically. I ended up getting an A*, scraping it by I think 2 UMS.

It's possible. Seriously, I did worse than you and I managed it. Don't be upset with yourself

Don't worry - I got my timing wrong and thought we had an extra half an hour so I had to do question 6 in 5 mins!!!

i just don't remember commenting on provenance ect. allot and i dont know if it was because the paper didnt ask for it much or I basically failed that exam

i got A* in the coursework and the other exam so my overall grade in history was an A which im fine with
