Chance of getting into LSE?
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to know what my chances are of getting into LSE 101 Economics.
My GCSE's were pretty bad; only 3a*, 6a's and 5b's
. I've finished my a levels in further maths, physics, economics and physics and i already have an a and i'm predicted a* in it xD but after my fp1 module i think that i may get a low a/ high b in it. So overall im guessing that i would get AAAAB.
Also I am doing the EPQ over the summer on the Game Theory, i was wondering if LSE took any consideration into the qualification knowing that they don't do interviews.
Thanks for reading this
I know this may be getting repetitive to some people but i just want to be sure that I'm not wasting one of my choices when I apply this winter.

Re: Chance of getting into LSE?I'm still in lower sixth, those are are my predicted as grades. sorry for the misunderstanding(Original post by *Hakz*)
I think you need at least one A* preferably in maths/further maths.
It's going to be very touch getting in even with the right grades, considering that the applicants per place ratio is extremely high, hence low success rate.
Good luck though. -
Re: Chance of getting into LSE?Why can't you get your teachers to predict you an A* in maths?(Original post by killergen)

Re: Chance of getting into LSE?Sorry forgot to mention I still havn't got my predicted grades yet for all my other subjects apart from maths which is an a*. I'll probably recieve after results day, hopefully an a*, a*, a,a in economics, geography, physics, further maths respectively.(Original post by *Hakz*)

Re: Chance of getting into LSE?
Your GCSEs are fine. If you ignore the B's its 3A* 6A which is pretty damn good, the B's make it look bad but in all honesty you have like 5 more GCSEs than everyone else so don't be worried about your GCSEs. I think you have a good chance, get your teacher to predict you A* in Maths also.

Just make sure your personal statement is top notch and work as hard as possible towards your exams. Try not to get anything below an A.
Good luck mate, you're really going to need it

Re: Chance of getting into LSE?Of course you stand a chance. A much better chance than for straight economics, so if that's what you want to go for then go for it(Original post by killergen)
