    Hair extensions?
Exams are nearly over and I've asked my mum and dad if they can get me hair extensions I do well in my gcses! But I'm not sure... I'm desperate for long hair because my hair won't grow any longer than a bit past my shoulders, but I'm worried if they ruin my hair... I've heard that they rip out chunks etc! I've also looked at the price for some and they are pretty expensive but I know I would use them as I am mad on long hair!

Basically, I want extensions but I'm not sure if they are worth it

Why does it matter if you haven't got long hair?
A bit past your shoulders is long enough.

I was in your situation 3 years ago and I decided to go through with it. My hair started growing thinner but since I had the extensions I didn't pay too much attention to it.
I took out my extensions in January (as part of my routine) and I realised that my hair was not only thinner but a big chunk of it was gone. Now my hair has reached the stage where it is completely damaged. I started an extreme hair care regimen, bought new products and started doing little things that help in March and I still find loads of split ends on various areas of my hair.

My advice: DON'T DO IT! Go online and look at different videos of people who grew their hair and try to do the same or adapt it your way. It's much better to take your time to make it grow other that pick up the pieces of your mistake. I really regret it.
