    Rate this laptop for me
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

It would be used for work/gaming/your average internet use.
    What do you think?
    price wise/specs?

The new laptop should last 3-4 years. My current one has lasted 6 years (using it now)-it's about to suicide ell inspiron 1520 ~1.86GHz

Good laptop for general use, I guess, though there are better/cheaper ones out there.
One which I saw while browsing would be this: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/lenovo...84781-pdt.html Lenovo laptops have good keyboards + this one's cheaper, same spec + a slightly longer battery life.
The 2nd gen I5 processors are fine for light-gaming, (with 4gb of ram). The graphics chip is HD3000, check the benchmarks here - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-H...0.37948.0.html - to see if it can do all you want :woo:

It's an okay price and will be good for general tasks like browsing the internet and doing work, the specs seem fine for general gaming and should be capable of playing a large amount of todays games.

I was looking at the new razor blade laptop. It' really unbelievable.

I'm not a firm believer in i3 and i5 processors but it's an OK laptop.

I wouldn't count on it for elongated hardcore gaming though.

don't think it would be used to that extent.

I the game i would probably play the most would be League of Legends.

You can run that on a decent calculator.

    Should be fine.

Doesn't have a dedicated GPU, be wary of this - though from what I've just read it seems it would still be able to run games with a mediocre FPS.

This laptop which you are thinking to buy will be perfect for everything apart from high quality gaming. I have a hp g6 with 6gb ram, 750gb hard drive with integrated graphics and the 2nd gen i5 processor (which also the acer one ur thinking to buy has) and is a bit overkill for me (someone who frequently plays games on my laptop), mind you, although the graphics is integrated, it is still one of intels best graphics and will play games such as fifa 12 and mw3, (but not battlefield 3). So if u are going to use the laptop for browsing/working with a bit of gaming, then its more than perfect - price is reasonable too

If you want to any decent 3d gaming, you won't get buy with an integrated graphics card.

Have at look at my choice - also a Dell but has a GT525M dedicated card wit 1gb ram and is running everything well so far gaming wise, besides Arma 2 lol

I picked mine up for 460 quid so around the same price as your original proposal

I'm assuming that integrated means it's not good?
What graphics card should i be looking for to run games like League of Legends- I wouldn't play stuff like diablo/skyrim/cod ~if you could even get those on a computer.

i'll definitely look into it. I trust Dell a lot as they are by far the best company I've had experience with. Although their prices are bit high so i was considering different brands.

Would you say that the type of brand means a better or worse system?
For example~ 2 laptops of almost exactly same specs. Except one is Acer and the other is Sony. Would they be different from each other?

Dedicated graphics processing unit. As opposed to the integrated GPU that the linked laptop has. Integrated GPU's are pretty notorious for their (lack of) performance.
