Going College/Sixth Form 2 years later...
    Hey,

During year 10-11, I really didn't try in GCSE's and I just made sure I got C's or above. In the end I got a few B's and a few C's 'cause I was a very minimal effort kind of kid near that age and I thought if I atleast had C's I'd be sweet.

When I left school I went to a Sixth Form, at that age I really had no idea what I was going into and picked totally random subjects, a little while into it I dropped out as I realised the A levels I had chosen would have never of gotten me onto the courses I was attracted to at unis, the Sixth Form wouldn't let me change them. From then until the next september I worked in a coffee shop.

I then was convinced by my father (he's a tradesman) to become an Electrician since I would not be able to afford to go to uni and that it was good money. So I enrolled at a college the september after i enrolled at sixth form to do my Level 2 Qualification, it was only 2 days a week so the other days I still worked in a coffee shop.

I'm now finnishing up my Level 2 and can go on to do my Level 3 in september but I'm having massive doubts if I want to become an Electrician since I just keep hearing bad news about how hard it is to find work etc. I'm now considering taking A Levels again. I've been thinking on thiss the past like 6 months, so I've applied for a few colleges since then and now I just really don't know what to do.

I really want to do Computer Science at University but due to my lazyness at GCSE I got a C in Maths, I was like 3 off a B in year 10 so I just winged the exam in year 11 which also resulted in me getting a C again, the whole of my year 11 we just had supplies so I was careless and we really didn't learn much.

The college I want to go to will let me do Chemistry, Biology and Computing at A level. I wanted to do Maths, Physics & Computing but they want a B in maths to do maths and I don't have it so I can't.

I only chose to do Chemistry, Biology and Computing because it gave me the most diversity on what path I'd want to go down once I wanted to go to uni.

Just worried now 'cause most universities want maths A level for computer science and I can't possibly take that. I know Russell Group universities are out the window I was just wondering if Colleges would accept Chemistry, Biology and Computing as A levels to enrol on Computer Science degrees. I know how hard A levels will be but this time round I'm going to really put effort into my A levels and be determined to get good results BBB+.

    I just need some advice/guidence.

Hi I know there are a few that would accept you with those grades, for example, Aberdeen Want a c in gcse maths and BBB from two sciences or maths, so biology and chemistry will be ok for that.

Birmingham want c at gcse mathematics and BBC at a level.

Bangor Only want BBC at A Level

And bradford want a grade c gcse maths and CCC at a level with at least one from computing, ICT, maths or science preferred.

These are only a few I know but I'm sure there are many more so good luck with what you want to do
