    70,000 people doing jobs for NOTHING

    no wonder McDonalds are so heavily involved! - especially in the "games makers" side of things. what a fantastic way for them to keep the cost of labour down!

    You've obviously never volunteered.
    Oh, and please keep your insults to yourself on all of the other threads in here. If you don't like that the olympics is in London this year, that's fine, but it's happening, and it'll be over soon for you and the other sour grapes in the country.

    Did you make a thread titled some along the lines of "Why volunteer for the Olympics when you can work?"?

    I am working at the Olympics but that's only because a couple of years ago when I was interested in volunteering, I missed the deadline to send the application form. I'm glad I missed it because I am now going to be paid for it but I would have gladly done it.

    People are volunteering to be involved with something that will only come round once in a life time, how is this being scammed?
