    Biological Science
I've insured Reading for biomedical science and I've got a pretty strong feeling I'll end up coming here

However, I didn't get the chance to get out the department and so have no idea what to expect.

Could anyone answer some Qs for me regarding ? and is anyone else going a science degree

    1. Most the information is on their website if your interested.
    2. Accommodation on white knights campus is right near where you will be studying so yeah no long treks for you.
    3. Labs are new, or newer than most universities (you can trust me on that 1, Hull and Bournemouth weren't as great)
    4. Teachers are really nice and one of them runs a small zoology museum which you can help out during Wednesday afternoons in. Basically cleaning dead animals.
    5. As your doing Bio-med you will be doing a lot of bio-chem which means you will most probably be sharing lessons with chemistry and bio students.
    6. Black board can save your hide if your worried on a particular subject, it has the power points that the teachers use and it has practice questions.
    7. Nice green campus, so if you have hay-fever not so good but it means in the summer loads of people will be hanging out there.
    8. Library is very nice and they have load of papers and documents online if you can't be arsed to go walk to the library which is about 10 minutes from the accommodations.
    9. Equipment in the labs are new or the ones I have seen but the labs are huge typically hold around 70-100 students depending on the lab. So no if you need help you can either look at the 8-10 LCD tele's hanging on the walls or you can queue.
    10. If you have any other questions you can email the head of the faculty of science and they will be glad to give you any information you need. Welcome to Reading!
