Anyone ever been to an official movie premiere?
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Anyone ever been to an official movie premiere?
Bit of an odd question, but just not sure how this works.
Has anyone ever been to an official UK film premiere?
I wondered whether things like that are invite-only, but then I always see crowds of us mere mortal at these, how do you go about it? Do you get some sort of special tickets or something, or do you just turn up?
Also are these things officially announced to the general public with regards to details such as exact time and date and such?
And if anyone has been, what is it like?
I know it is a bit of an odd thing to ask! I feel like a right weirdo, but I was just maybe hoping to go to The Bourne Legacy one in August, but don't know anything
Thanks yooo! -
Re: Anyone ever been to an official movie premiere?
I went to the Minority Report film premier. My dad got tickets through his work (Sky). Also got tickets for the Matrix Reloaded premier but ended up missing it, terrible shame
Got a nice briefcase with Neo glasses for free though, gotta love the goodies
No idea how you would go about getting tickets normally, sorry. -
