    Allergic reaction to cleanser
not sure whether to post here or in health but oh well, tried out a new cleanser for the first time on Saturday night, Sunday my skin was fine so I used it again that night. Yesterday I noticed a small patch of red rash on my cheek but wasn't sure whether it was the new cleanser or the fact that I'd been drinking that weekend and sometimes get a reaction. I tried it again yesterday just to test whether it was in fact the cleanser because it was so far only on a small part of my cheek - well now it's spread and it's definitely the cleanser!

I've taken 2 allergy tablets and am not going to wear makeup or use anything on my face until it calms down, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for something different so am going to pop into the pharmacy and get more allergy tablets, but I was just wondering if anyone else has experience anything like this before? I really need to know how long it should take to get better!

Some people get bad reactions to skincare, it just means you could have sensitive skin =) I get a reaction to some cleansers, it usually takes a few days to get better.

Wouldn't panic, sounds liek just a normal allergic reaction - try a different cleanser Simple ones are good, they ahve no perfumes or funny stuff in so fewer people are allergis to them.

I would definitely suggest the Simple products and to always do patch tests when you get anything new, it sounds like you have realllly sensitive skin
