Should I drop a subject at A2? (Media studies)
Hi guys, I've recently started A2, and I'm not sure whether or not to drop a subject. For AS I took Maths, Physics, Media studies and Sociology (and compulsory general studies). Clearly, I was pretty uncertain about what I wanted to do after my A levels and so took a broad range of subjects. Seeing as I am taking maths and physics which compliment each other, as well as the fact that they are probably my best subjects, I'm considering studying one of the two (or engineering) to study at university. So I have a few questions. Will dropping media studies at A2 affect my chances of getting into a good university?(Seeing as it doesn't seem to have any relation to maths/physics). If anyone here is taking A2 media studies, how would you compare it with AS? Lastly, would there be any preference from universities as to whether I dropped sociology or Media studies? (In other words, would one be better than the other for studying maths/ physics?)
Thanks for your time. -

In my opinion Media's more fun at A2 as you have actual films and tv shows as case studies yet cw can be time consuming. If you're choosing between sociology and media i'd probably choose sociology.

drop media studies. although unis don't usually mind what you have as your third subject, sociology is both more relevant and more respected.
