Ok, so I have this friend. He knows I am gay, but he's in a very small group who do.
I always had my suspicions, and a year or 2 ago I asked him if he was, he said no.

A few days ago, he left his email logged in on my laptop - curiosity killed the cat.
I saw that he had been, lets say trading pictures, with other guys for over a year.

I know I should respect privacy, I just feel a little down that he doesn't feel he can talk to me about something so major that we have in common.

    WHAT DO?

You are so not his friend, oh and reading someone else's e-mail is actually illegal (as a legal person, it technically is)

He clearly isn't comfortable with telling you. Why do you need to read his emails-jees!

Kiss him and see what happens. Find the right time though. Just you two.

See this is what I thought the response would be. In my original post I don't think I made it clear that I think he left the emails for me to find. Literally he logged in for no reason and left them on the screen. If I had been in his shoes and I didn't want them seen, I wouldn't have been so careless.

And we've been best friends for ten years. Far bigger things have interfered before this, so don't judge!

Let him tell you in his own time. Even if he left the e-mails open deliberately, he may not want you talking about them, it might have been his way of telling you without making a big announcement.
