Hey, I'm off abroad for 2012/13 to study at Bologna University through Erasmus. I'm having a bit of trouble deciding where to live - either I could live in a private apartment with a few other students, or go to halls-type accommodation through Camplus (http://www.camplus.it/residenze-universitarie/bologna) which would be with hundreds of other students. Does anyone have any experience at uni in Bologna?

I'm thinking it might be easier to meet people, and maybe I would speak more Italian, if I lived in the Camplus accommodation, but after a year of living in a house I'm not sure I want to go back to halls... I like cooking for myself and having more freedom - but then if I took the private route I could end up in a really bad house or have nightmare housemates...

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
