    Help With Bills?
    Hello all!

I was just wondering if people could help me with the arrangement of bills.. I have heard I have to set up a standing order for my house next month as well as my house mates. How do they work and how much do I know exactly how much to set it up for? Are there alternatives to standing orders?

    Thank you!

Isn't a standing order similar to a direct debit?

There's a good explanation here - essentially as the bills will vary with the seasons, it's more likely that it'll be a direct debit, not a standing order http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2005...nsumeraffairs1
