Sent off for compelling personal reasons - the wait is driving me mad!
I was half way through my 2nd year at university, and I took mitigating circumstances for depression, and then finally took an interruption. I left my course, sorted myself out, and have reapplied for another course that I actually feel happy doing. However, obviously I am not entitled to 5 years funding... so my first year could be self-funded.
I've sent a doctors note, a university note, an interruption note, dyslexia and dycalculia note, my own letter detailing that I need my 1st year funded as I only took the year out for depression. As I'm aware, student finance can 'refund' you the year that you had troubles in, but the wait is driving my crazy. I have to save every penny I earn, which isn't much, and I'm stressing out so much because I'm usually entitled to the full amount of the loan (because my household income is way below the lowest amount) so I'm relying on working my arse off to pay for my fees, and still then I'll be screwed, and I just want to know whether depression with this amount of evidence is good enough for CPR. Is it common? Am I pinning my hopes too high?
I am incredibly passionate about this new course and it's upsetting that I may have to scrape by for 12 months (as I won't be receiving a grant, either). Someone please shed some light?
