I'm going this year - from what I've heard it's got a great atmosphere despite it's growth in size. Can't wait! =]

I went to Bestival last year. It was the first festival I'd been to and it didn't disappoint! Had such an amazing time. But don't rely on what other people say...just go and see for yourself!

Bestival is absolutely AMAZING. I've been the last two years and am going again this year. The atmosphere just doesn't compare to other festivals because it's not all about the music. There's a fancy dress theme every year so you'll see thousands of people walking around in crazy outfits. It feels more like a carnival than a festival at times! The food is also incredible, there's cuisine from all over the world; chinese, thai, indian, traditional fish n chips, mexican, malaysian, american etc. The different areas have names like the Wishing Tree, Magic Meadow, Arcadia, Stardust Field, Bollywood Field, Tomorrow's World and Ambient Forest. There's a big wheel, a helter skelter, toboggan run, roller disco, Wall of Death, Oxfam clothes tents etc. Basically there's loads going on, it's very impressive visually and the music's so eclectic. You will love it!
