Applying for TC after being rejected for a VS at that firm
    Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of sending off a few select training contract applications. Some of these are to firms which rejected me for their vacation scheme this year (before interview stage). Though some firms claim you should not be discouraged from applying for a TC after receiving a VS rejection, do people have other thoughts on this?

As a bit of background, I did manage to achieve some success in securing a vacation scheme, and since this time I have acquired extra legal experience that I can include on my current applications.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had any positive results from applying for a TC somwhere they were rejected previously for a VS, and if this is rare.

I've had TC interviews at places I've been rejected for a VS, so I would definitely say apply - you have nothing to lose anyway.

My TC is with a firm that rejected me within a day for the VS. As long as your application has improved then I would definitely say go for it. I have also met a good few other people who are in this situation and while it isn't necessarily common it definitely does happen.

There is often more demand for VS than TC's at a lot of firms, or so i've heard.
