    Fake tan advice desperately needed!
I'm a very pale 16 year old girl who cannot seem to tan at all. I hate being so pale because I just look ill! I'd love to have a tan but I've tried so many in the past and they've just streaked and have looked awful.
Does anyone have any brands that they use that look really good and would they suit someone like me with very pale skin? Thanks,

I use St Moriz tanning mist from Semi-chem, use a mitt to apply and it comes out even and doesn't have that "tango'd" effect you see on so many people

Have you tried Elemis Tan Maximiser? I'm about a MAC NC15, usually even a bit lighter and I could never tan until I found this! It does something to your skin so you can tan naturally but its completely safe! It also doubles up as a moisturiser so your fan will last longer

If you do want to go fake however you have to decide if you want gradual or instant tan!

The best gradual tan for me to build up colour over a period of time that I've found is St Tropez Gradual Tan. Choose the lightest option and you can build the intensity of colour as you want!

The best like instant tan I've found is Vita Liberata Mousse. You apply it and it's pigmented to make sure you don't miss any bits, wait a few hours then have a shower to get rid of the excess and voila! Perfect tan! It may look quite dark on first application but never fear, once you have a shower it will be light and glowing.

In general terms, you need to exfoliate before you tan. Use a facecloth or loofah to scrub off dead skin or a non creamy body scrub. This allows the tan to dry without streaks. Moisturise but NOT for about 3 hours before a tan because it can stop tan sticking to your skin. Once you have your tan, moisturise every day to ensure it fades evenly and without streaks

    Hope this helps!
