I'm 19 and i have no friends. I've just finished my first year of uni and i have friends from there who i can still occasionally talk to but no one REALLY close. and from secondary school, i was in a group with about 8/9 of us and everyone else bonded off into best friends except me, and because i'm quite shy, i couldn't really make friends with another group of people. this has left me in a position where i dont have a single person i could talk to if i had a problem, or if i just wanted to hang out for a day.

I don't know if there's something wrong with me or what. How can i make new friends? I don't have a job or do any sports or stuff, would that help? and what kind of things could I try?

I don't either but id rather have no friends than ones that are losers. Your 19 now this isnt like school where you will get taken piss out of just speak to people.

Just find someone with similar interests. There will bound to be people you will click with. What are u interested in?

that's a problem I have, when I was younger, and to this day, I never participated in any extra-curricular activities, i never did gym, ballet, dance or a sport or anything, so i don't really. What kind of activity would be easy to start now and meet people?

Don't think that just because you didn't do it when you were younger, you can't take it up now. Are there any activities you'd think you'd LIKE to do?

I'd recommend trying to work on the friendships you've made from Uni - if you talk to them more over the summer, maybe try and arrange a meet-up you'll feel a lot closer when you go back in the autumn.
