    USB Wireless extenders?
What is the universal name for the usb things you use to increase the capability of your laptop of receiving a wireless connection from your router. My signal is weak from my bedroom so if anyone could link me a good one that's not to expensive I'd appreciate it.

Wireless cards built into laptops are generally very good, so I doubt you would see any difference with a usb dongle.

You might as well move the router to a better position or get a stronger one.
But those usb ones cost about £15 or so.

So you aren't going to listen to any of the advice (extremely valid and accurate I might add) and just carry on...

But if you do still want one of those things just ask for a usb wireless dongle and they will know what you mean.

The other guy is right though, some usb dongles aren't great, you won't know unless you research the range of it. The other thing you can do is get a better router with wider range or get a small route and use it as a range extender. There's so many things you could do. Even a plug adapter.

I only saw when I was quoted so i missed that comment. I'll just have to use it outside of the particular room.
