Would Physics be easier after doing AS Maths?
Okay so from next year I am planning on taking the following subjects:

    Maths (Through to A-Level)
    Economics (Through to A-Level)
    English Language (Through to A-Level)

    Afrikaans (AS Level only)
Physical Science (Sub-saharan Africa, combination of Physics/Chemistry availbable to AS Level only)

I am wondering, seeing Physical Science is AS level only, whether I will find the subject easier to do in 2014 after having completed A1 from my Maths course?

I need to have a minimum of 5 subjects for University in SA

If its A-level then not really. The only part that would help you would be exponentials as they would help you with exponential decay's for capacitors or nuclear related stuff.

Applying a mathematically fluent and confident mind set is more beneficial.

Alright, I will keep that in mind. I was hoping that having done well in A1 Maths would make me more confident + it will reduce the workload in the first year.

I'm starting A2 in September and I got pushed like crazy to take Maths to atleast AS with Physics, however I didn't and admittedly l'm not doing very well, but neither are people who are also taking Maths. In my opinion, for AS Physics, I don't think I'd have performed any better if I'd taken Maths. It wouldn't have made a difference for me, I don't think.

Its not all mathematics, some of the modules were quite heavy on the written work.

Interesting, I find IGCSE Physical Science contains mainly maths. I'm not too concerned about the written work, just want to make sure I understand the subject and that my maths is at an adequate to do so.
