I have just passed my medical and fitness - I got a call yesterday from my AFCO stating they were waiting for my references and could I ask them to return them ASAP so they could request a place for my PRTC - so I have no idea when I am going. When I had my interview they said there were possible dates for the 25th July.
I think they do it by trade, because when he was looking up the dates he had to scroll to Medic (what I have applied for).
What trade are you looking at? -

Just read this in the email they sent:
"P-RTCs on 11 July 2012 and Subsequent Courses
You are required to arrive the evening prior to your course at the RTS Graduation Visitors entrance to RAF Halton between 1530 hours and 1700 hours."
So we go up on the tuesday and stay the night there? will have to call the AFCO to confirm this.
Look forward to seeing you there noble. You ready? -

Re: Raf prtc 11/07/2012 ???Ah, yes. But it still has to be processed. Mine has said 'Completed' on the DVA website for over 5weeks but it still hasnt been returned. Despite that, they did book me in last minute to PRTC on the 11th July.(Original post by RAF-Recruiter)
You do NOT need to have the security returned in order to be granted a place on PRTC. You'll be allocated in due course.

Yeah I'm ready, been traing for the past 7 month now! ha, just want to get down there! Got my head in the books this week swating up on my English and Maths. -

Yeah I'm ready, been traing for the past 7 month now! ha, just want to get down there! Got my head in the books this week swating up on my English and Maths.
Think going the night before is a better thing, id rather get the fitness done in the morning after breakfast than after a few hours sat in a train/car.
Same here, ive got a lot of catching up to do for those key skills tests, i only got the call from my AFCO on monday afternoon to say im down Halton on the 11th, so cramming in as much fitness and revision as i can. trying to quit the smoking, but it isnt helping with the anxiety. -

Hey guys - I'm due on my PRTC at the end of July - just wondering as you have just done it - are there any top tips you could give? I have read all information on here but am aware the course is always changing like having to go on Tuesday etc

I found it to be fine, however people did fail on it. The key is to prepare. Get fit - which I'm sure you are - but practice the test itself until you feel confident with it. Also when your doing the test, as it gets harder - push it.
